Companies increasingly looking at temporary staffing

A report brought out jointly by Boston Consulting Group and Ciet – an international confederation of private employment agencies, points out that in order to adapt to both predictable and unpredictable changes in the economic scenario a number of companies are turning to temporary staffing. In fact temporary hiring is poised for a 20-25 percent growth as sectors like banking, FMCG, telecom, construction, infrastructure and pharmaceutical are expanding. According to temporary staffing firms, these companies recruit temporary staff on project basis or during their peak business season.

According to temporary staffing firms, these companies recruit temporary staff on project basis or during their peak business season.

In the past seven eight years the temporary staffing industry has been recognized as a professionally managed industry having substantial demand across industries. The salary of temporary staff depends on the sector, function and location; however it ranges from Rs. 8,000 to 20,000 a month.
