Flexi hiring in government sector to rise further

As many as 12.3 million are employed as temporary workforce in the government sector and flexi hiring in this space is likely to rise further, according to Indian Staffing Federation (ISF). According to ISF, an apex body of leading staffing companies in India, organised flexi staffing players have made significant contribution towards social security as well as government revenue in the last few years. The report stated that around 12.3 million temporary workforce is already employed in the government sector, constituting 43 per cent of total 28.8 million temporary staff in the country. There is an estimated 49.7 million formal sector workforce in India, out of which 28.8 million are temporary workers.
