According to an Economic Times report, Wipro is taking steps to make sure that the younger leadership comes into the senior levels of management. Wipro CEO TK Kurien gave a hint of this strategy in an interview to ET.

Kurien accepted that the biggest issue companies face today is that of leadership. He said, “The biggest issue today is getting great leadership with courage. That is the most important difference between a great leader and an ordinary leader. And we need to get more people like that coming in.”

About Wipro’s strategy to groom young leaders, he said, “We continue to look for good talent. It is easier, yes, but when people move, they don't just move for money. They move for a career. And as we get more and more good people in, the career options are getting closed out. So there will be a stage when we can't do that, and we've to also start growing talent within Wipro. We have a fairly deep talent bench within the group. I'm trying to make sure the younger leadership comes into the senior levels of management.“
