Increasing demand for middle managers

Caustically called the ‘bulge’ of the company, the middle manager will become agile again. A sharp turnaround in the outlook for economic growth on the back of a strong government and upbeat corporate and stock market sentiments is expected to open up more internal roles and external opportunities in the job market, recruitment firms and companies across sectors said. Middle managers – generally employees with 5 to12 years of work – were the worst hit in the economic slump of the past few years. Senior management was still needed to steer in business strategies amidst a weak economy and the junior section for strong customer focus, but the middle order had been vulnerable.
