New job growth creation 9%, says survey

1.36 laks jobs were added in the second quarter and companies continued to hire, according to an Assocham survey. The top five metros accounted for 61% of the jobs. The cities that created the maximum number of jobs were Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Kolkata and Mumbai. With over 58,000 new jobs, IT, IT-enabled services and IT hardware sectors topped, at a share of 42% or a growth rate of over 12%.
