According to data collected on day 2 of placement seasons in IITs, more than 10 per cent of candidates plan to join new age companies, such as e-commerce, and startups. Flipkart, Snapdeal, OLA cabs, and Housing.com plan to make more than 670 offers to IITs this season. Many of these new age industries believe that hiring talent will allow them to grow continuously.
