McDonald's to hire 6,500 crew members

McDonald’s India, is gearing up to hire over 6500 employees in the upcoming year. In order to facilitate this extensive recruitment drive McDonald’s India will be having a weeklong initiative called, ‘The Hiring Week’ which is scheduled in the first week of April 2012. This initiative will take place across McDonald’s restaurants in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad and will be creating a large number of job opportunities for local people in this time period.

Commenting on this first ever of its kind initiative, Seema Arora Nambiar, Director – People Resources McDonald’s India (West & South) said, “At McDonald’s we strongly believe in catering to the ‘Skills for Life’ piece and believe in giving people a ‘career’ as opposed to a ‘job’. This is the first ever employment drive of its caliber which will be the first step in enabling us to meet our hiring goal of 6500 people within this year. A hiring initiative of this scale only reinforces our commitment to our company’s growth in India. This is a monumental undertaking and we are pleased to be able to provide such a vast number of job opportunities to people from all communities.”
