Obama firm on protecting American jobs

Two days before his twice postponed India visit, US President Barack Obama is still firm on protecting US jobs. In his endeavour to salvage the American dream, Obama is unlikely to alter his views regarding outsourcing of US jobs to India. Expressing his desire to support jobs and opportunity for the American people, the President, in the past, had offered tax breaks for those institutions which were creating jobs in the US. Stressing on America’s economic recovery, the government is now trying to mould its future by retaining as many jobs and increasing its export sector.

In his endeavour to salvage the American dream, Obama is unlikely to alter his views regarding outsourcing of US jobs to India. Expressing his desire to support jobs and opportunity for the American people, the President, in the past, had offered tax breaks for those institutions which were creating jobs in the US. Stressing on America’s economic recovery, the government is now trying to mould its future by retaining as many jobs and increasing its export sector.

The American leader also believes that the economic relationship between both countries can be developed as to favour both sides. Stressing on the fact that US market has always been open to products, services and investment around the world, it expects the same access from other countries including India in the future.

People Matters’ Take: The continuous stress on US policy of tax benefits for organizations containing its job requirements to its country may start affecting the Indian set up. At the same time countries are now realising Indian potential and encouraging investments in an attempt to boost their own economy.
