In their book, “India Inside: The Emerging Innovation Challenge to the West” management experts Nirmalya Kumar and Phanish Puranam answer the very question. Through some extensive research and interviews, they show that a considerable amount of innovation is happening in India, it’s just invisible to the end consumer.
