Saurabh Mishra asks the right questions when it comes to human capital management

“Why reinventing human capital?” Mishra questioned right off the bat. “The reinvention is coming because there is more focus on it.”

One of the many after effects of the pandemic has been that there is more focus than ever on people - people as employees, people as employers, people in leadership positions. In such times it becomes all the more important to focus on an efficient, effective and elegant human capital management strategy.

At TechHR India, Saurabh Mishra, AVP Product Engineering, Lumenore, hosted a masterclass on Re:Inventing Human Capital Management Strategy. Lumenore, founded in 2013, was conceptualized to make analytics simple, flexible, and powerful.

“Why reinventing human capital?” Mishra questioned right off the bat. “The reinvention is coming because there is more focus on it.”

Mishra peppered his masterclass with many practical and real-world examples, such as asking Alexa “How is the weather in Gurugram today?” or “How is the traffic in Gurugram?”

He then went on to talk about very relevant questions:

  1. Do you know how many employees are likely to leave in the next 6 months or 1 year?

  2. What is the average time to get full productivity from new hires?

  3. What is the range of cost for hiring the replacement of an employee?

  4. What is the current employment engagement score? Has it increased or decreased in the last 6 months?

“The answers to these questions bring a lot of value to an HR leader. And with the right analytics, leaders can find a lot of value in these answers,” he said.

Watch the video to know more about Mishra’s views on reinventing HCM and why it is so important right now.
