Bajaj auto names Abraham Joseph as MD of Chetak Technology

A seasoned veteran at Bajaj Auto, Joseph Abraham has climbed the ranks from a Graduate Trainee Engineer to Chief Technology Officer to MD.
Bajaj auto names Abraham Joseph as MD of Chetak Technology

Chetak Technology, the electric vehicle arm of Bajaj Auto has appointed Abraham Joseph as the Managing Director.

Abraham has been working with Bajaj Auto since July 1989. He started as a Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE). In his most recent role, Abrahm served Bajaj Auto as the Chief Technology Officer.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Abraham Joseph as the Managing Director of Chetak Technology Ltd,” reads a social media post.

“In the past six years, Mr. Joseph has established and expanded the EV R&D organization from the ground up, i.e., the Chetak Technology R&D. He has developed the Chetak R&D organization, ensuring it possesses the appropriate capabilities, infrastructure, and technology. With a wealth of experience in building a leading technology organization, Mr. Joseph is well-equipped to guide Chetak and its leaders towards becoming a dominant force that continues to disrupt and push the frontiers of innovation, in the evolving EV landscape,”

In addition to Abraham Joseph’s appointment as the MD of Chetak Technology Ltd., Bajaj Auto also announced the appointment of Ramtilak Ananthan as the Chief Technology Officer of Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Ramtilak embarked on his journey with Bajaj Auto in 1994 and holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA. In 2013, he was promoted to the position of Vice President – R&D and started leading Commercial Vehicle CAE & Vehicle testing along with 2Wh CAE & testing.
