Air India issues advertisement seeking new COO

In an attempt to get the ailing public sector carrier out of troubled waters, Air India, the country’s largest airline service provider has issued a global advertisement for the post of Chief Operating Officer. According to news reports, the government owned enterprise which had been making news in recent times due to its financial mismanagement, is seeking an international airline manager with a proven track record. The appointment of the new COO would be contract based for 3-5 years. Earlier, while refusing to bailout the airline service provider, the government had announced the overhaul plan of its top management within 30 days.
