Tech employees seek alternative careers

According to recent trends, low pay is forcing technology employees in India to seek alternative careers. Even fresh graduates from engineering colleges are being offered very low paying salaries, thereby driving them away from technology careers. There are lakhs of technical graduates who have joined or are trying to find jobs as police constables, bank clerks/officers and civil servants. According to bankers, all new recruitments are dominated by the B.Techs. The data speaks for itself: State Bank of India, the top recruiter among banks, recently hired 1,500 probationary officers. “About 80-85 per cent of them are graduate engineers.
