Firstsource shifts jobs to Philippines

The BPO company, Firstsource, is planning to shift out 500 jobs from India to the Philippines. In its attempt to cut costs and reposition their market plan, the company is planning to make this strategic move. The company was hit by the recession and faced major number of retrenchments in recent times. The company employs over 30,000 employees, with over two thirds in India.
