Foreign workers riot in Singapore

Hundreds of foreign workers of Indian and Bangladeshi origin started a riot in Singapore after a colleague was mauled by a bus. The nation relies heavily on foreign workers to fill their labor shortage and thousands work in the country in service professions of laborers and maids. Recently activists have raised concerns about poor living conditions and exploitation of service professionals, which has led to a great rise in unrest.
