IT employers keen on hiring technologically skilled workforce- Survey

According to a finding of Experis IT ManpowerGroup, the IT companies are planning to get vast numbers of employees on board in the coming two quarters. This survey was done for April- September 2018 for a sample size of 500 IT companies.

“Hiring intentions are slightly higher as businesses strive to keep up effectively with the pace of evolving technologies. Outlook for employment is better, with a lot of opportunities,” said Manmeet Singh, President at Experis IT, ManpowerGroup India.

The report highlighted that job openings are available in this domain and the workforce or the applicants need to bridge this opening with skilled training. Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence engineers and big data analytics are some of the prominent jobs.

Maximum numbers of employers are inclined to get fresher and new experiences candidates on board who are keen on learning. The demand to have senior level hiring is decreasing as people management role are reduced and mid-level workforce still needs to travel a long distance to get hold of the instant moving IT industry, both regarding business and talent, pointed out the survey.

The finding suggests that start-ups contribution will be significant for the Indian IT industry and particularly for those who are working on niche domains such as AI and blockchain.
