Colt tech & InspireOne ties up for people growth

Colt Technology Services, a connectivity provider company has headquartered in the United Kingdom, has partnered with InspireOne, one of India’s leading leadership and organizational development firms, to roll out its global management development initiative to better support the managers in its organization.

Due to the changing role of people managers as the working environment shifted dramatically, Colt knew it was critical to provide its staff with the tools, skills, knowledge, and confidence to be able to thrive under the current challenging conditions. This led Colt to work with InspireOne to launch its Management Fundamentals program to ensure it could maximize its talent potential and organizational performance even during such unprecedented times.

Over a period of eight months, Colt’s management development initiative aims to build up-to-date consistent management practices throughout the organization underpinned by their four Management Fundamentals. During the program, participants go through a robust learning journey comprising of assessments, virtual sessions, digital learning, subject matter expert sessions and application activities. Due to the timing of the launch of the program, the learning content is related to, and specifically tackles, the uncertainties and disruption caused during the on-going Coronavirus pandemic and the unique challenges it has presented. As well as providing contemporary and intelligent management practices to suit current industry requirements.

More than 800 managers from Colt are going through the program currently, with 26 cohorts running in parallel. The course is also being hosted in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian and German.

The content is tailored to meet the needs of three categories of managers – new managers, managers of people, and managers of managers. Because Colt’s staff are currently all working remotely these sessions are being hosted virtually, however, this hasn’t impacted the content or the interactively of the program, with technology allowing for seamless user experience.

Limor Brunner, VP Talent and Organisation Effectiveness at Colt said; “At Colt, we have always believed that developing our people is one of the key enablers for the future and success of our business. With the combination of social and applied learning, we believe this initiative will lead to positive and sustained behavior change in the way our people lead in the digital world.

“This program had been planned for a while, and it was important for us to continue to roll it out despite the pandemic because we felt that empowering our managers is even more important at a time like this. The usage of applied learning at scale, enabled by collaboration technologies, is a test case to how we need to evolve in the learning space and is where the opportunity lies,” she added.

Sumit Sahni, CEO of InspireOne said; “This program is one of our most innovative learning initiatives which is being delivered completely virtually, comprising of a variety of methodologies. During the current challenging business environment, it is inspiring to see how Colt is investing in large scale talent development. The InspireOne team is honored to partner with Colt as we help them take their people development agenda forward.”

This program will run through until 2021.
