Tata-Air Asia sets training base abroad

In a first of its kind move in the Indian aviation industry, the crew of the Tata-Air Asia JV will be trained in a training facility in Malaysia. The JV has informed the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) about this move and the DGCA will send a team of experts to the training facility to certify of people from the training will be allowed to work in India or not. All training documentation, such as operation manuals etc. have been sent to the DGCA for examination for granting permission to start off operations in early 2014.
