Meta India has appointed Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, effective early 2026.
In this role, Jain will spearhead the company’s policy strategy and engagements in India, while also joining the India leadership team. He will report to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy for Asia Pacific (APAC).
Jain brings over two decades of public policy and business strategy experience to the position. He most recently served as Director of Public Policy at Amazon, a role he held for more than two years.
In a farewell note on LinkedIn, he reflected on his journey, writing: “My 2+ years at Amazon have given me a front-row seat to the incredible dynamism of India’s e-commerce industry… Advocating for millions of small businesses and customers has been a true privilege.” He also expressed gratitude towards Amazon’s leadership and public policy teams.
Before Amazon, Jain worked at Google as the Country Head for Government Affairs & Public Policy, and previously held roles with the Government of India, the U.S. Department of Justice, AmericaSpeaks, and AIESEC International.
Welcoming Jain to the leadership team, Milner said, “India is a strategic market for Meta. As the country’s digital economy accelerates across areas such as AI, emerging tech and the creator economy, Meta aims to help build a more inclusive, trusted, and future-ready internet ecosystem for India.

In his announcement on LinkedIn, Jain shared, “I’m glad to be joining the world-class public policy team and contribute to Meta’s mission of helping people stay connected and build community… It’s a purpose that resonates with me. Looking forward to the journey ahead and to making a meaningful impact.”
Jain holds a dual Master’s degree in Public Administration and International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, where he earned multiple awards and accolades.
