R Chandrashekhar was appointed as the new President of NASSCOM. He comes at a time when the IT industry is signaling times of a recovery. This is the first time NASSCOM has appointed a bureaucrat as President. Chandrashekhar is the former telecom secretary and succeeds Som Mittal for the post of President.
