Darwinbox has transitioned to a co-CEO leadership structure, appointing Chaitanya Peddi alongside Jayant Paleti as Co-CEOs, marking a significant leadership shift as the HR technology company prepares for its next phase of global growth.
The announcement was made by Jayant Paleti in a LinkedIn post on Sunday. Paleti, who has served as the company's CEO in recent years, said the leadership change reflects Darwinbox's evolving priorities, including its expanding international presence, larger strategic ambitions and the opportunities emerging from artificial intelligence.

Leadership structure aligned with the company's next chapter
Explaining the move, Paleti said the founders evaluated what Darwinbox would need in the years ahead before deciding to adopt a co-CEO model.
"It became clear that this is the right structure for the company," he wrote, referring to the company's growing global footprint, the scale of its ambitions and the AI-driven transformation underway across industries.
He also congratulated Chaitanya Peddi on assuming the new responsibility, adding that he was excited about what the leadership structure would enable the company to achieve.
Founded by four entrepreneurs
Darwinbox was founded more than a decade ago by Chaitanya Peddi, Jayant Paleti, Rohit Chennamaneni and Vineet Teotia. In his statement, Paleti reflected on the company's journey, saying one of the most meaningful aspects of building Darwinbox had been doing so alongside his co-founders and the broader team.
He added that the founders remain committed to the company's mission and are motivated by what lies ahead.
What changes
According to Jayant Paleti's announcement:
- Chaitanya Peddi and Jayant Paleti will jointly serve as Co-CEOs.
- The company has formally moved away from a single-CEO leadership model.
- The leadership transition is intended to support Darwinbox's expanding global operations.
- The company also cited opportunities presented by the AI era as a factor behind the restructuring.
The announcement did not indicate any changes to the company's founding team or broader executive leadership.
AI and global expansion shape leadership decisions
The appointment comes at a time when enterprise software companies are reassessing leadership structures to manage faster product innovation, international expansion and increasing AI integration.
While Darwinbox did not announce any new business strategy or organisational changes alongside the appointments, Paleti positioned the co-CEO model as a structure designed to support the company's next stage of growth rather than a response to any immediate operational challenge.
He described the company's journey so far as significant but added that its "most consequential chapter is still ahead of us."
