Paytm plans to hire 1,900 people in product engineering and operations over the next three quarters and take its total headcount to 5,000 by end-March, as it gets ready for the next bout of expansion. As much as two-thirds of the planned hiring will be in operations and the rest in product engineering, said Amit Sinha, vice-president, business and people, at the Noida-based online retailer and payment company.
