Media veteran and entrepreneur Alok Nair has been appointed as the CEO for the yet to be set up media venture of Markets Mojo. 

Commenting on Alok’s appointment Dr. Mohit Batra, Co-Founder & CEO said, “Markets Mojo has evolved as one of the finest products in the Fintech Space and we are gearing up for the next phase of growth. With Alok coming on board with his expertise in solid media we look forward to maximizing the full potential of our offerings and extend him all the support for scaling up.”

Alok bring with him an experience of about 17 years and has worked in various leadership roles in companies like The Times of India, Network 18 and Bloomberg TV India. He has also headed and co-founded startups like White & Blue Media Pvt Ltd and Indy Network Pvt Ltd.  

Prior Markets Mojo Alok was running his own media turned around consulting firm.

Markets Mojo was started in June 2016 by Joyson Thomas and Mohit Batra. The current Chairman and Mentor of the company is Haresh Chawla, Partner True North and Ex-Group CEO of Network 18.  

Markets Mojo was launched as a multi-algorithm based financial investment analyzing platform offering full coverage and unbiased information to an investor across all listed companies. Now, they are setting up a media venture for which they are first setting up a strong leadership team. 

Joyson Thomas, Co-Founder shared, “Markets Mojo has been created in a way that it can be made global fairly easily. It covers 100 percent of the market and researches every product class.  Alok & I have worked in the past in Network 18 while creating path-breaking opportunities and I extend all the support required for the new media set up. We will be launching many more disruptive products in the near future.”

While the name of the upcoming media venture is yet to be decided, Markets Mojo would also be bringing in Don Zarrar as Chief of Sales and Sanjay Bhoir as Chief of Operations who were with TV Today Network and Neo Sports respectively until recently.
