P&G India appoints Kumar Venkatasubramanian as CEO; LV Vaidyanathan exits
Procter & Gamble India has announced the appointment of Kumar Venkatasubramanian as the Chief Executive Officer, effective from May 1, 2024.
Kumar will assume responsibilities from LV Vaidyanathan, who is stepping down from the position after 28 years of service to the company. Vaidyanathan joined P&G in 1996 and held several leadership positions across different regions, including India, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand. He played a pivotal role in spearheading the company’s commitment towards key areas of Citizenship – Community Impact, Equality and Inclusion, and Environmental Sustainability.
In his new role, Kumar, who joined P&G in 2020, brings a wealth of experience, having held several leadership roles at P&G India, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. Most recently, he served as CEO for ANZ business. With his passion for equality and inclusion, he has made a significant impact on employees and the community over the last two decades. His core competencies include team management, leadership development, strategy, business development, and sales. Kumar holds an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.
