Indigo’s President flies off after ten years

After working with the aviation company Interglobe Aviation famously known as Indigo Airlines, Aditya Ghosh, President and Whole Time Director has decided to step down from his position. The board of directors of Interglobe Aviation has accepted his resignation and announced Rahul Bhatia the current as interim CEO. Bhatia will also continue as the Director of the company, said the company statement in a stock exchange filing.

Aditya Ghosh worked for the aviation company for almost a decade and turned around the low-cost airline into one of flyers first choice. In his letter to the employees, Ghosh said to his employees that it’s time for him to step off the treadmill and he is planning his next adventure. He will be associated with the company until July 31st, 2018.

Ghosh is known for his skills and being a people’s boss. In an interaction with a business magazine last year he mentioned that he knows most of his people by their names and even in the worst scenarios when the industry was facing salary delays, Indigo never reduced their staff and not delayed their salary even by an hour.

Under his leadership, Indigo was credited as Aon’s best employer for the year 2016 and 2017.
