Nandita Sinha will take charge of Swiggy Instamart on 3 August, succeeding Amitesh Jha, as the quick commerce business enters its next phase of growth.

Swiggy has appointed Nandita Sinha, the former Chief Executive Officer of Myntra, as the new CEO of Instamart, marking a leadership transition at its quick commerce business. Sinha will assume the role on 3 August, while the current CEO, Amitesh Jha, will leave the company.

The appointment brings another seasoned consumer internet executive into Swiggy's leadership team at a time when competition in India's quick commerce market continues to intensify. Both Sinha and Jha previously spent several years within the Flipkart ecosystem.

Leadership transition at Instamart

Announcing the appointment, Sriharsha Majety, Managing Director and Group CEO of Swiggy, described Sinha as one of India's leading consumer internet executives.

"I am delighted to welcome Nandita Sinha as the CEO of Instamart. Nandita is one of India's most accomplished consumer internet leaders, and I'm enthusiastic about the vision, customer obsession and operational rigour she brings to the team we've built at Instamart," he said in a company statement.

Sinha succeeds Amitesh Jha, who joined Swiggy from Flipkart and led Instamart through a period of rapid expansion.

A leader with deep consumer internet experience

Sinha joins Instamart after leading Myntra, the Walmart-owned online fashion retailer, where she was credited with scaling the business into a large and profitable company within the Flipkart Group.

Before joining the Flipkart ecosystem, she held roles at Britannia Industries and Hindustan Unilever, building experience across the consumer goods and retail sectors.

Commenting on her appointment, Sinha said she had long admired the business Instamart has built.

"I have long admired what the team at Instamart has built. It's a business with a strong customer-first culture, great talent and significant opportunities ahead. Instamart sits at the heart of how India shops for its everyday needs, and I look forward to working with our colleagues, partners and consumers to shape its next chapter of growth," she said.
