BlackBerry denies deliberate bid to downsize in India

Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry downsized its employee base in India because of a global transformation drive, and it wasn't a deliberate attempt to trim staff here, said a top official of the company. The company is trying to reduce its dependence on the hardware or smartphone business and focus more on software and solutions for enterprises.
