MobiKwik has appointed Rajat Bansal as Senior Director and Head of Talent Acquisition, strengthening its people leadership as the fintech firm prepares for its next phase of expansion.
Bansal announced the move in a LinkedIn post, confirming that he has taken charge of the talent acquisition function at the digital payments company. In the post, he said MobiKwik’s role in India’s fintech ecosystem and its growth ambitions drew him to the role.
He brings more than two decades of experience across talent acquisition and workforce leadership. Prior to joining MobiKwik, Bansal served as Head of Talent Acquisition at Freecharge, where he led hiring across business and technology roles.
His earlier stints include roles at Tata 1mg, Damco Solutions and Quovantis Technologies, giving him exposure to both consumer-facing digital businesses and enterprise technology firms.
The appointment comes as fintech companies recalibrate hiring after a period of rapid expansion, placing greater emphasis on building scalable, cost-conscious and future-ready teams. Talent leaders are increasingly expected to balance growth needs with tighter workforce planning and productivity goals.
At MobiKwik, Bansal will be responsible for shaping hiring strategy, strengthening talent pipelines and aligning recruitment priorities with the company’s business roadmap.
As competition intensifies across India’s fintech sector, the company’s ability to attract and retain specialised digital and financial talent is expected to remain a key differentiator.
