Vikram Solar appoints Biresh Ranjan Das as Senior Vice President – Human Resources

Vikram Solar has appointed Biresh Ranjan Das as Senior Vice President – Human Resources, strengthening its leadership capabilities as India’s renewable energy sector moves into a high-growth phase.

In his new role, Das will spearhead the company’s people and culture strategy, focusing on building organisational capability, developing leadership depth, and aligning workforce readiness with Vikram Solar’s expansion plans in India and global markets.

With the clean energy industry witnessing rapid scale-up in manufacturing, technology, and operations, the need for skilled, future-ready talent has become increasingly critical.

The company said the appointment underscores its commitment to accelerating talent development, enhancing employability, and supporting capability building across the renewable energy value chain.

Das will lead workforce strategy, organisation design, productivity enhancement, and leadership development, while also institutionalising robust people processes to support sustained growth. He brings over 23 years of cross-sector experience spanning manufacturing, telecom, hospitality, infrastructure, and global shared services.

Commenting on the appointment, Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, Vikram Solar, said India’s clean energy transition demands “scale, speed, and capability progressing together.” He added that strengthening people systems and leadership capability is a strategic priority for the company as it expands operations and its international footprint.

With this leadership addition, Vikram Solar reinforced its focus on building a resilient workforce and contributing to the development of skilled talent essential to India’s clean energy transition.
