Welspun Living appoints Rakhi Shukla as DGM, Business HR Head

Welspun Living has appointed Rakhi Shukla as Deputy General Manager, Business HR Head for its Domestic Home Textile & Flooring Business, expanding her leadership responsibilities across the company’s people strategy.

Shukla announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, thanking the company’s leadership and HR teams for their support and acknowledging the trust placed in her during her tenure at Welspun.

“I am happy to share that I have been elevated to Deputy General Manager-Business HR Head | Domestic Home Textile & Flooring Business at Welspun Living Limited.”

Expanding HR leadership mandate

Shukla joined Welspun in February 2024 as Lead Sales HRBP. Since then, she has taken on roles across Sales HR, Enabling HR, Employee Experience & Culture and Talent Acquisition.

She later served as Interim Head HR for the Domestic Home Textile & Flooring Business, leading the HR function during a leadership transition. Her appointment to the permanent role follows that stint and gives her a wider mandate across the business.

“A heartfelt thank you to my Manager Ruchika Arora CEO for your trust, guidance, belief in me and constant support.”

Shukla also thanked Sonia Sharma, CHRO at Welspun Living, and Achalesh Sharma, GCC CHRO, for their support.

“My sincere gratitude to WLL CHRO Sonia Sharma for your support and encouragement, and to Achalesh Sharma, GCC CHRO, for extending strong transactional HR support, which enabled me to focus on strategic HR priorities.”

Nearly seven years at Lactalis

Before joining Welspun, Shukla spent nearly seven years with Lactalis Group. She most recently served as Senior Manager, Commercial/Sales HRBP & Talent Acquisition.

Her experience at Lactalis covered commercial HR partnering, talent acquisition, talent management and leadership development.

Earlier, she worked with Bajaj Processpack and in-tech Group India, where she gained experience across talent development, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management and leadership capability building.

Leading people strategy for domestic business

In her new role, Shukla will lead the people strategy for Welspun Living’s Domestic Home Textile & Flooring Business, with a focus on organisational capability and business growth.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources from GLA University and a B.Sc. from Kanpur University. She brings more than 17 years of experience across HR business partnering, talent acquisition, organisational effectiveness, leadership development and people strategy.

Shukla’s latest appointment marks another step in her HR leadership journey at Welspun, where her remit has expanded from sales HR business partnering to strategic HR leadership.
