Wipro HR veteran Sunita Rebecca Cherian joins Vantage Circle board

Vantage Circle has appointed Sunita Rebecca Cherian, a veteran human resources leader and former senior executive at Wipro, to its advisory board, strengthening the employee recognition and wellness platform’s leadership as it sharpens its focus on culture and people strategy.

Cherian spent nearly three decades at Wipro Limited, most recently serving as chief culture officer and senior vice-president – human resources, where she played a central role in shaping the company’s people practices, organisational design and workforce transformation agenda.

The appointment brings to Vantage Circle a leader with extensive experience across human capital strategy, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organisational governance, as companies globally reassess how culture, wellbeing and recognition link to long-term performance.

A seasoned voice in the HR ecosystem

Beyond her corporate role, Cherian has been closely involved in the broader HR and leadership ecosystem. She has served on advisory boards of academic and industry bodies, chaired Wipro’s diversity, equity and inclusion council, and contributed to global forums including the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council and the World 50 I&D Impact community.

Vantage Circle said Cherian’s experience in employee engagement and organisational culture would help guide the platform’s evolution as it looks to build more human-centred and scalable solutions for modern workplaces.

Commenting on the appointment, Partha Neog, chief executive officer and co-founder of Vantage Circle, said Cherian’s people-first perspective would strengthen the company’s mission to help organisations create environments where employees feel valued and empowered.

Cherian said she was pleased to join the advisory board, noting that organisations perform best when people are placed at the centre of strategy, purpose and innovation.

The appointment comes at a time when companies are placing greater emphasis on employee experience, recognition and wellbeing as strategic levers rather than peripheral HR initiatives. For Vantage Circle, adding a senior HR leader with large-enterprise experience signals an intent to deepen its advisory capability as it scales globally.
