Although India is in the league of developing countries but it is astoundingly ahead of the developed countries as far the technology usage is concerned. In a research done by Celent, the results show that the counterparts of Indian public and private sector banks in US and Europe are lagging behind in using sophisticated technologies. The technology they are using is the same that was being used in 70’s whereas in India it has been upgraded through which they have achieved operational efficiencies. This could help in analyzing the customer behavior and would also help them in launching relevant products. India is more agile as compared to others and takes only a few months to adopt any change in technology and to come up with a new product launch.
