Adani RMRW (Road, Metro, Railways & Waterways) Business has announced the appointment of Abhishek Kumar as Chief People Officer, effective August 2025.
Kumar, who has been associated with the Adani Group for nearly six years, shared the update on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People Officer at Adani RMRW (Road, Metro, Railways & Waterways) Business!”
A journey within Adani Group
Before taking on this leadership role, Kumar played a pivotal part in shaping people strategy across the airports vertical. His tenure included serving as Head HR – AAHL, Head HR – Guwahati & Lucknow Airport, and Head HR – Lucknow Airport (LIAL). In each role, he was instrumental in driving employee engagement, workforce transformation, and HR development initiatives aligned with Adani’s growth vision.
Diverse HR leadership experience
Before joining Adani, Kumar built a strong foundation in HR leadership through stints with JK Paper Ltd., Uniparts India Ltd., and the Amara Raja Group. He began his career with Mawana Sugars Ltd. and CAPART, gaining early experience in HR development and employee relations.
A graduate of the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, Kumar brings academic rigor combined with diverse industry expertise to his new role. His extensive journey across manufacturing, paper, energy, and infrastructure sectors positions him well to lead Adani RMRW’s people agenda at a time of rapid growth and transformation in India’s transport and infrastructure space.
