AmbujaNeotia Group has appointed Subhashish Das as its Group Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening senior leadership as the conglomerate expands across multiple businesses.
Das confirmed the appointment in a LinkedIn post, describing the role as a return to the Ambuja fold after nearly three decades. He said the position would focus on building purpose-led workplaces while supporting the group’s growth agenda across sectors.

The appointment marks a homecoming for Das, whose HR career began at Ambuja Cements in the mid-1990s. He joined the company in March 1995 as General Manager – HRM, a role he held for over a decade until February 2006, working closely with the group’s leadership during its formative years.
In recent years, Das has held senior people leadership roles across some of India’s largest industrial and consumer businesses. From September 2023 to November 2025, he served as President – HR & CHRO at J M Baxi Group, overseeing people strategy for the logistics and maritime conglomerate. Prior to that, he was President – HR & CHRO at Alok Industries between March 2020 and July 2023, during a period of restructuring and operational reset.
Earlier, Das spent nearly 14 years at Berger Paints India, where he was Vice President – Corporate HR & Personnel from March 2006 to February 2020, playing a central role in leadership development, industrial relations and organisation-wide HR transformation.
AmbujaNeotia Group, headquartered in Kolkata and led by chairman Harshavardhan Neotia, has diversified interests spanning real estate, hospitality, healthcare and education. As the group scales its footprint and talent base, the Group CHRO role is expected to focus on leadership capability, workforce integration across businesses, and long-term people strategy.
