Biocon Biologics has appointed Deepak Dobriyal as its Global Head of Talent and HR Transformation, strengthening the company’s leadership bench as it scales its global biosimilars business.
The appointment was announced by Biocon Biologics in a company statement, which said Dobriyal will oversee the group’s end-to-end talent agenda, spanning talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, learning and development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), ways of working, and broader HR transformation initiatives.

In his new role, Dobriyal will be tasked with building future-ready talent pipelines and advancing a skills-based learning organisation, while supporting the company’s focus on employee experience and employer brand as it expands across markets.
Dobriyal brings close to three decades of experience across large global organisations. Prior to joining Biocon Biologics, he served as Senior Vice President and Global Leader for Talent Management and Corporate HR at Birlasoft, where he led global talent management, leadership development and HR transformation programmes.
His earlier stints include senior HR leadership roles at Cognizant, NCR Corporation, IBM and Newgen Software Technologies.
Biocon Biologics said the appointment comes as it continues to invest in building an agile, globally aligned workforce to support its long-term growth ambitions in biosimilars and complex biologics.
Dobriyal is based in India and holds a postgraduate qualification in human resources, along with executive education credentials in HR leadership.
The company did not disclose whether the role is newly created or replaces an existing position.
