Leading manufacturer Foseco India has appointed Prachee Sonchal as the Director of Human Resources, effective immediately.
In her new role, Sonchal brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across the automotive, aerospace, and machinery manufacturing sectors.
She most recently served Burckhardt Compression in Pune as Head of HR for over three years, where she spearheaded HR strategy for 700+ employees, including the Global Support Centre; led culture transformation initiatives aligning values with business goals through robust engagement strategies; improved the diversity slate by 4%; and built an employee-centric culture.
Previously, Sonchal worked with Emerson Automation Solutions as Associate Director and Site HR Leader at the Emerson Integrated Management Center, Talegaon; GoAir as General Manager – Business HR; HELLA India as Head of HR; Voltas as Business HR Manager; and Tata Motors as HR Manager.
“The appointment of Sonchal was approved by the Board of Directors on October 15, 2025, following a recommendation from the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. This strategic move aims to strengthen Foseco India’s human resource management and organizational development,” an official statement said.
It added, “As the company continues to evolve in a competitive market, Sonchal’s extensive experience across multiple sectors could prove invaluable in driving employee engagement, talent acquisition, and organizational transformation.”

On the academic front, Sonchal holds an MBA in HR and an MPhil in HR from Savitribai Phule Pune University, a B.Com in Business Management from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, and a Diploma in Workforce Development from the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD).
