API Holdings, the parent company of digital pharmacy platform PharmEasy and diagnostics firm Thyrocare, has appointed Shashi Tiwari as its Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening the group’s leadership bench as it continues to scale its integrated healthcare and diagnostics businesses.
Based in Mumbai, Tiwari will lead the people and culture agenda across API Holdings and its portfolio companies, including PharmEasy, Thyrocare, Ascent Health and Aknamed. His mandate spans organisation design, talent and leadership development, rewards, and large-scale workforce transformation across the group.
Tiwari joins API Holdings after more than a decade at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he held several senior HR leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President – Human Resources. During his tenure, he supported the company’s global R&D organisation, the innovation arm Ichnos Glenmark Innovation, and multiple HR centres of excellence covering rewards, talent acquisition, compliance and diversity.
Earlier in his career, Tiwari spent nearly nine years at Infosys, where he led global compensation and benefits programmes across APAC, EMEA and the Americas, and served as global lead for compensation design and policies. He also gained early operational experience at logistics firm TNT, where he was part of its India road logistics start-up team.
The appointment comes at a time when API Holdings is navigating rapid evolution in India’s digital health landscape, marked by tighter regulation, margin pressures and intensifying competition. As healthcare platforms scale across pharmacy, diagnostics and supply chain services, companies are increasingly investing in leadership capability and workforce strategy to support sustainable growth.
API Holdings has not indicated any immediate changes to its broader leadership structure following the appointment.
Tiwari’s elevation is expected to focus on strengthening leadership depth, aligning people practices with business priorities, and building a unified culture across the group’s diverse healthcare businesses as API Holdings enters its next phase of growth.
