Shreyas Haridas promoted to lead HR for Spotify across JAPAC & SAMEA

Shreyas Haridas has been promoted to the role of HR Director for JAPAC (Japan & Asia-Pacific) and SAMEA (South Asia, Middle East & Africa) at Spotify, marking a significant milestone in his career and reflecting his outstanding contributions to the company.
Haridas announced his elevation in a LinkedIn post.
In his expanded role, Haridas will oversee HR operations for Spotify’s dynamic teams across Africa, Asia, and Australia—regions renowned for their vibrant cultures and diverse talent pools. His leadership comes at a pivotal time as Spotify continues to invest in these high-growth markets, fostering innovation and inclusion.
Haridas’ journey at Spotify began over three years ago, during which he played a crucial role in shaping the HR vision and people strategy for India, the Middle East, and Africa. Under his guidance, the company has built people-centric policies and robust talent management frameworks, enabling Spotify’s teams to thrive in a competitive landscape.
Prior to joining Spotify, Haridas held senior HR positions at leading organisations, including Nomura, Disney Star, and Reliance Industries. At Nomura, he was instrumental in driving global compensation and talent management for technology teams, and in India, he served as HR Business Partner for technology functions. His tenure at Disney Star saw him partnering with key corporate leaders and co-leading university hiring initiatives, while at Reliance Industries, he managed HR for group-level functions.
With a strong academic foundation, including an MBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Haridas brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic HR leadership to his new role.
