Sparsh Hospitals has appointed Kalappa K.B. as Group Chief Human Resources Officer as the Bengaluru-based healthcare group strengthens its leadership team.
Kalappa has more than two decades of experience across healthcare, hospitality and retail.
He will lead the organisation’s people, culture and organisational capability agenda as Sparsh expands its network of eight multispecialty hospitals across Karnataka.
Focus on people and organisational growth
In his new role, Kalappa will focus on strengthening leadership, talent development and employee experience while fostering a high-performance culture across the organisation.
Working with Jasdeep Singh, Group CEO, Sparsh Hospitals, he will also drive the transformation of HR practices through agile HR, technology and AI, with the aim of building a more future-ready and data-driven organisation.

Two decades of HR leadership
Before joining Sprash Hospitals, Kalappa was Chief People Officer at Mountain Trail Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Chai Point).
His career includes senior HR roles at healthcare organisations including Columbia Asia Hospitals and Aster DM Healthcare, as well as hospitality brands such as InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Taj Hotels.
His experience spans HR transformation and digitisation, talent management, leadership development and organisational change.
