IDFC First Bharat has promoted Chandra Mouli S to National Manager – HRBP & Talent Management, expanding his mandate to oversee business HR partnering, performance management and employee engagement.
IDFC First Bharat is a wholly owned subsidiary of IDFC FIRST Bank.
Chandra Mouli previously served as Lead – Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, HR Technology and HRIS at the company. In his new role, he will be based in Trichy and will lead business HR partnering, talent strategy, performance management and employee engagement initiatives in alignment with the company’s broader people agenda.
The elevation signals a move to strengthen HR leadership at the national level as the organisation sharpens its focus on talent development and workforce alignment.
A commerce graduate, Chandra Mouli holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning. He also completed a postgraduate diploma in Banking and Finance from the same institution.
He began his career with GE Money as a business support executive before moving to AIG Consumer Finance in a similar role in 2008. He later joined Equitas Small Finance Bank as Business HR – Tamil Nadu, where he spent more than nine years in Chennai overseeing HR operations.
In January 2018, he moved to IndoStar Capital Finance as Zonal HR Business Partner. Within the same year, he transitioned to Magma Fincorp as Zonal HR Manager – SME and Housing Finance, a role he held for nearly three years.
In April 2021, Aditya Birla Finance appointed him as HR Business Partner. He joined IDFC First Bharat nearly three years later, taking charge of talent acquisition, HR technology and systems before this latest promotion.
His expanded responsibilities now place him at the centre of the company’s performance and engagement strategy, reflecting a broader trend in financial services firms to integrate talent management more closely with business outcomes.
As IDFC First Bharat continues to scale operations, the effectiveness of its HRBP and talent framework will be key to supporting growth and organisational stability.
