Are You In The List 2016 winner: Aditya Adyar

Passionate about backpacking and travelling, Aditya keeps on learning fresh perspectives about life from his travel journeys. Armed with a degree in MBA HR from SIBM, Pune, he would love HR to stop being a ‘paper pusher’ and focus more on HR analytics and technology orientation of HR. He describes the AYIL journey as very intriguing, thought-provoking and exciting. His favourite book is Maverick by Ricardo Semler.

Aditya Adyar, Chief People Officer, Faasos

One thing you will:

Start in HR: Focus more on HR analytics and technology orientation of HR. Focus on building technological solutions with joint ownership of business and HR to drive performance and culture. There is a lot of value addition which HR can do in organisations with help of analytics like tracking Development Index (career progression and succession planning), What kind of people should be recruited, attrition insights, how to improve productivity of employees, and ultimately adding value to top line as well as bottom line etc.

Continue in HR: With a lot of focus on accountability, numbers and analytics one shouldn't lose Empathy. All processes should be made keeping Employee (user) experience in mind.

Stop in HR: Being a Paper pusher.

As an emerging HR leader, one thing which brings great pride to you:

Have been able to build my team from scratch and created HR systems, policies in a highly unstructured environment and high growth phase

Biggest flaw in the way organizations operate today, and how do you plan to fix that:

I wouldn’t say a flaw in all organisations( especially the new age tech startups) but many of them is that when the going is good; they hire in huge numbers without a proper forecasting and budgets in mind. Apart from this they aren’t  able to visualise the best organisation structure to sustain the growth. HR can add great value in this space.

What makes the difference while you are in HR in a corporate set up:

Able to work with high efficiency under extreme pressure by absorbing stress to produce the best output.

I am able to create HR processes to meet business goals while keeping employee experience in mind when there is a highly unstructured environment

In 5 years, you see yourself as:

Building Faasos sustainably and profitably to 1000 Crore organisation . Building systems and processes which are tech based and directly contribute to topline as well as bottomline of Faasos

Your Are You In The List Journey:

The case studies, manager ready assessments and Interviews have been intriguing. The entire journey has been very thought provoking and exciting.
