The TA League Annual Conference 2016 saw the best of the industry fight it out in the battle for the Best Practices Award, which has become the most prestigious of TA awards in the recruitment space. More than 200 applications were received, out of which 15 made it to the final round. The Jury Meet on June 8 saw the 15 of them battling it out for the last moment effort to pitch for their initiatives in 10 minutes. The Jury comprised – Yuvaraj Srivastava, Senior Vice President - Human Resources at MakeMyTrip.com, B P Biddappa, Executive Director, Hindustan Unilever, Madhavi Lall, Managing Director, Head - HR, India, Deutsche Bank, Seema Arora Nambiar, Senior Director - People Resources, Hardcastle Restaurant's Pvt Ltd., Yashwant Mahadik, Global CHRO, Sun Pharma, and Kamlesh Dangi, Group Chief People Officer, UTI Asset Management Company.
Needless to say, the fight was not over even after the last organization finished the pitch. It was challenging for the Jury to decide one winner for each of the categories. There were 5 Awards for the night – Best Practices in Candidate Experience, Best Practices in Recruitment Reengineering, Best Practices in Diversity, Best Practices in Employer Branding, and Best Practices in Social Hiring.
After much deliberation which saw some serious debates, the winners were finally chosen.

Best Practices in Candidate Experience: Zydus Cadila Healthcare
This category had three finalists – Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Aegis Limited, and Flipkart. The TA Award for Best Practices for Candidate Experience was given to Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd. The Zydus Cadila was represented by Birju Mistry, Head HR of the company
Best Practices in Diversity: Aegis Limited
Sapient Consulting Pvt Ltd, SPI Cinemas, and Aegis fought till the last minute elevated pitch. And the TA Award for Best Practices in Diversity was given to Aegis Limited. Priyanka Mohanty, VP-HR was the representative from Aegis.
Best Practices in Employer Branding: Flipkart
The decision here was very difficult. All the three organizations – Infosys, Sapient Consulting Pvt Ltd, and Flipkart had very interesting initiatives and their passion was palpable in the way they delivered their messages. The TA Award for Best Practices in Employer Branding was given to Flipkart. Ved Prakash, TA-Head, and Mallika Galani were representatives for Flipkart.
Best Practices in Recruitment Reengineering: Indegene Lifesystems
Here all the Jury members were unanimous in declaring Indegene Lifesystems Pvt Ltd the winner of TA Award for Best Practices in Recruitment Reengineering. They beat Godrej Consumer Products, and SPI Cinemas to win in this category. The team was represented by Srihari, TA-Head, and Bina Patil VP-HR of the company.
Best Practices in Social Hiring: Capgemini
How are you hiring your talent through social network. And here Capgemini was declared the winner in the Best Practices in Social Hiring. The other two competitors were Infosys and Convergys. Capgemini was represented by Jonas Prasanna, Talent Brand & Social Media Recruitment Lead and Siby Thomas, Manager – Social Sourcing.
