Bajaj Finance CHRO Sukhjit Pasricha calls it quits

Sukhjit Pasricha moves on from Bajaj Finance to join Kotak Mahindra Bank as its Group Chief Human Resources Officer.

Pasricha joined Bajaj Finserv early last year as CHRO after spending five years in IndiGo as the Vice President HR and Admin.

According to reports, Pasricha is expected to join the Mumbai-headquartered Kotak Mahindra bank in May.

He is replacing Makarand Khatavkar who resigned in December to start his entrepreneurial journey. Khatvakar served his notice period until the end of January, 2019.

In his new role in Kotak, Pasricha would be responsible for managing the staff of 40,000 employees against 16,000 staff in Pune-headquartered Bajaj Finance. 

Pasricha comes with over 23 years of career in Corporate HR roles and Business HR roles across different industry sectors.  At IndiGo he spent five years where he shepherded rapid expansion. This included aircraft numbers growing from 60 to 160 even as employee count rose from 6000 to 16,000. 

Before he had moved to Indigo in the year 2013, Pasricha had worked Sr Vice President of HR in Airtel Africa. There, he was responsible for driving the HR transformation across 17 countries in Airtel Africa. He had made the transition after serving as the CHRO of the Enterprise Services Business of Bharti Airtel India.

He holds a degree in Sociology from Punjab University, Chandigarh and an MBA from Guru Nanak Dev University.
