CLOs are misunderstood as schedulers of training & trainers

Most often, Chief Learning Officers misunderstand their role as arranging training, or look out for training outside the company; they become schedulers of training and trainers, says K. Ramkumar, Executive Director on Board of ICICI Bank

A good CLO is the one who constantly asks three questions: What do I do to cement and build values of the company? What are the current gaps in technical as well as managerial abilities of my people and how do I bridge them? What is the curriculum that I need to put in place for this to be practical and how through the interventions can they be translated into skills and abilities?
