Half of India's tech professionals plan multiple career pivots: Study
Nearly half (49%) of tech professionals believe they will need to pivot their careers at least three times to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving industry, according to a new study commissioned by Amadeus.
The survey, which included 2,200 tech professionals globally, reveals that over 53% of Indian tech workers plan to switch jobs within five years, driven by the need for upskilling and growth opportunities in the rapidly evolving industry.
The study reveals that innovation and equity are key factors influencing job decisions. A substantial 91% of respondents prioritize an equitable workplace, highlighting the importance of diversity, inclusion, and fairness. Additionally, 63% rank innovation as a top factor when considering a new job.
Flexibility and career growth have emerged as crucial considerations for tech talent. Nearly half (48%) of respondents consider flexible work arrangements essential, while 51% seek clear career paths within their organizations.
