A private, not-for-profit business school located in Tughlakabad, it was established with a view of becoming the best MBA institute in Delhi. Today, it is being counted among the top B-schools of the country by introducing new specialization areas and adopting innovative pedagogic approach.

The school is a national level NGO that receives government grants from the Centre and the state and its aim is to promote excellence in management education, research and managerial training. From being the best business school in Delhi, the vision has evolved to make it a world-class institute and imparts management training with three broad objectives – acquiring knowledge, development of skills and developing competence.

Perhaps a first for a B-School, apart from academicians and educationists NDIM’s Board of Governors consists of former secretaries to the GoI, members of IAS and a Member of Parliament. Jaswant Rai Bansal is the Founder Chairman of NDIM and Ankur Bansal is the current Vice Chairman of NDIM. In January 2014, WCRC Leaders-Asia & KPMG ranked NDIM amongst the Fastest Growing Busines schools of Asia.

The institute offers courses in Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Marketing and believes there is a strong correlation between research and training. By recognizing that there is a need for dissemination of knowledge in the areas of management science, the institute came up with the idea of a research journal called “Review of Professional Management”. It is a forum for not only researchers, but also practitioners, management professionals serving in the government, industry and academia to share their insights, thoughts and experiences in the inter-disciplinary areas of management. The faculty is encouraged to do research and actively participate in research seminars and symnposia.

A firm believer in talent, NDIM has instituted merit scholarships for meritorious students. The top 15 students are selected on the basis of their academic performance.
