Colliers International announced on August 3 that Subhankar Mitra has been appointed Managing Director of the Advisory Services business in India. Formerly the National Director for JLL's Strategic Consulting division, he brings over 24 years of experience in the real estate industry with a strong focus on delivering advisory assignments.

Mitra's appointment comes as Colliers expands its presence and increases its professional framework in India. The real estate firm has brought on board a number of senior leaders in recent months including Ajay Sharm Ayyagari from Deloitte as Managing Director of Valuations and Piyush Gupta from Piramal Capital as Managing Director of Capital Markets.
