SEBI is considering a proposal to make it mandatory for companies to get remuneration packages of CEOs approved by a majority of the minority stakeholders. Companies that are not promoter driven may have to get pay packages passed through a special resolution. This move is part of SEBI’s efforts of protecting the interests of minority stakeholders.
