The Indian automotive market may have been on a path of slow recovery in 2014-15, but the top brass of some leading automobile firms were rewarded handsomely for engineering turnarounds and taking on additional responsibility. An ETIG study of the annual reports and remuneration packages of top executives in seven companies shows that while most such executives received double-digit pay hikes, in some cases the compensation was doubled or tripled.
