Adecco Group India names new Chairman and MD

The Adecco Group, one of the world’s leading HR solutions companies, announced the appointment of Vidya Sagar Gannamani as the new Chairman and Managing Director for Adecco India. In his new role, Vidya will be responsible for leading the workforce solutions business for India with an increased focus towards cross-collaboration to enable growth and to deliver on Adecco’s transformational priorities. 

Commenting on the appointment, Ian Lee, CEO of Adecco APAC, said “We are elated to welcome Vidya as a part of our Adecco family. He is a seasoned professional with a  remarkable history of great work experience. We strongly believe that Vidya’s diverse  experience in both General Management and HR will be instrumental for the Adecco India  team to scale up for a stellar year ahead.” 

With more than three decades of diverse international experience and a proven track record of leading global businesses and HR organizations, Vidya specializes in driving cultural, organizational, and business transformations across verticals. He has extensive experience in a variety of roles spanning Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands,  which gives him a deep understanding of changing consumer trends as well as employee behaviors globally. 

Marco Valsecchi who earlier served as the Country Manager and MD at the Adecco  Group India before Vidya has decided to pursue opportunities outside the Adecco  Group. 

On his appointment, Vidya stated, “I am excited to be joining Adecco at this juncture,” said Vidya. “I believe that the way we work is constantly evolving, and as customer solutions become more complex, Adecco’s unmatched scope of solutions and technology will remain a key differentiator. I am looking forward to working with the team to continue building on our momentum to improve the satisfaction of our clients, our associates, and our employees while delivering more value for our stakeholders”.

Prior to joining Adecco, he had a long career at Royal Philips and led successful transformations for the company both in the capacity as a business leader and Chief HR  Officer across consumer and healthcare businesses. He later moved into management consulting and has been working as an advisor to private equity and consumer industries, while also being an investor in startups. It is this diverse experience that the group is hoping to leverage as it scales further.
